I decided to read this book because I wanted to know the author, if I would like her writing so I could decide if it would be worth it to invest in some more books from her. And I wasn’t disappointed at all, although it was a quick read (as advertised) it only made me want to read more about this world Kendall created.
And this book also deliver a steamy, spice and crazy story! I was so entertained with the story about Morgan the is a young Hockey player in Seattle and Isla she is a college co-ed and her (Ex) boyfriend he just broken up with her because she didn’t have experience in bed. What they have in common? They are step-siblings. Since their parents got married they never lived together but now they were stuck with each other during spring break.
Although the whole story is told from Morgan POV, you can see that Isla is a strong minded, determined girl and she proposes to Morgan a “little” bedroom experiment so she can gain some experience!! It was HOT! And his thoughts were steamy and funny, he clearly wanted to help her more then he did. But more than that their chemistry was off charts and you clearly could see they liked a lot, but the situation wasn’t favorable to them, you know as being steps.
A year later they got together again and all the scenes were awesome, from the game scenario, the celebrations and off course the surprising reaction from their parents I was so not counting on that!
Of course by the end I wanted to learn more from them, what happened to them in the far future (I love some deep long epilogues) but I left satisfied with the end and I was left feeling happy with a sweet HEA! I’m definitely gonna read more and I’m already waiting for “Down and Dirty”!
I love this series by Kendall Ryan, but I was a bit disappointed by this book in particular. I know it's a novella, but I hoped the plot was better developed, specially towards the end. I finished reading wishing there was still more to come.
Isla has been told by her ex-boyfriend that she lacked sexual excitement and feeling she was inexperienced, she seeks help from her step brother Morgan. And Morgan just happens to be a hot, gorgeous professional hockey player with a reputation as a stud.
After a little thought, he agrees to a one night hook-up to improve her sexual education with no strings. Both are satisfied and then go their own way. But what happens a year later?
Well, if you want to know what transpired you will have to get your own copy of this intriguing novelette.
"I was laughing. Swooning. Feeling my heart strings tug in my chest. This is a step-brother and step-sister story that has been done perfectly. The world-building, banter, characters—everything adds up to a wonderful read. ....Kendall Ryan is a wizard with “The Bedroom Experiment “ entertaining and pure enjoyment!" Can’t wait to read more from this sensational and stunning series! Definitely getting added to my all time favourites list! Happy reading!!
So when I buy a book I always look at pages length as I can’t stand short stories! Yes it was a decent read but it felt very rushed and when you are expecting 200+ pages it’s incredibly disappointing. It’s a shame as I’ve loved every other book in the hot jocks series.
I feel like this book wasn’t long enough to make it as good as it could have been. The story idea was interesting, but the book wasn’t long enough for me to really care enough about the characters. Despite elements of good writing, the book felt choppy and rushed. It was okay, but definitely not on par with the other books in this series.
Just as it was getting good, it ended! Both characters were really sweet and had secretly been hiding their lust from the other because they were step-siblings and they thought it was taboo to be together. This would have made a really good full story.
