Descrição do produto

The definitive playbook by the pioneers of Growth Hacking, one of the hottest business methodologies in Silicon Valley and beyond.

It seems hard to believe today, but there was a time when Airbnb was the best-kept secret of travel hackers and couch surfers, Pinterest was a niche web site frequented only by bakers and crafters, LinkedIn was an exclusive network for C-suite executives and top-level recruiters, Facebook was MySpace’s sorry step-brother, and Uber was a scrappy upstart that didn’t stand a chance against the Goliath that was  New York City Yellow Cabs.

So how did these companies grow from these humble beginnings into the powerhouses they are today? Contrary to popular belief, they didn’t explode to massive worldwide popularity simply by building  a great product then crossing their fingers and hoping it would catch on. There was a studied, carefully implemented methodology behind these companies’ extraordinary rise. That methodology is called Growth Hacking, and it’s practitioners include not just today’s hottest start-ups, but also companies like IBM, Walmart, and Microsoft as well as the millions of entrepreneurs, marketers, managers and executives who make up the community of GrowthHackers.com.

Think of the Growth Hacking methodology as doing for market-share growth what Lean Start-Up did for product development, and Scrum did for productivity. It involves cross-functional teams and rapid-tempo testing and iteration that focuses customers: attaining them, retaining them, engaging them, and motivating them to come back and buy more.

An accessible and practical toolkit that teams and companies in all industries can use to increase their customer base and market share, this book walks readers through the process of creating and executing their own custom-made growth hacking strategy. It is a must read for any marketer, entrepreneur, innovator or manger looking to replace wasteful big bets and "spaghetti-on-the-wall" approaches with more consistent, replicable, cost-effective, and data-driven results.

Capa Interna

'a compelling methodology... to increase market share quickly' -- Eric Ries, bestselling author of THE LEAN STARTUP

'a must-read for anyone in business' -- James Currier, managing partner, NFX Guild

'will teach you how to think like a marketer of tomorrow' -- Josh Elman, partner, Greylock Partners

Growth is now the first thing that investors, shareholders and market analysts look for in assessing and valuing companies.

HACKING GROWTH is a highly accessible, practical, method for growth that involves cross-functional teams and continuous testing and iteration. Hacking Growth does for marketshare growth what THE LEAN STARTUP does for product development and BUSINESS MODEL GENERATION does for strategy. HACKING GROWTH focuses on customers - how to attain them, retain them, engage them, and monetize them - rather than product.

Written by the method's pioneers, this book is a comprehensive toolkit or "bible" that any company in any industry can use to implement their own Growth Hacking strategy, from how to set up and run growth teams, to how to identify and test growth levers, and how to evaluate and act on the results. It is designed for any company or leader looking to break out of the ruts of traditional marketing and become more collaborative, less wasteful, and achieve more consistent, replicable, and data-driven results.

5.0 de 5 estrelas A must-read for anyone looking to grow their business 25 de abril de 2017

Just received my copy of Hacking Growth and I can already tell that it is going to be one of those classic business books that I return to again and again long after reading it the first time. The book is full of incredibly smart ideas for ways to grow your business - no matter what business you are in. What I love the most is that everything in the book is backed up with proof and examples of how these techniques and ideas have been used with proven and repeated success--so after reading this book there is no need to just throw something out there to see what sticks anymore.

The book is presented in a smart and thoughtful format, with part 1 covering the method and process of Growth Hacking and part 2 being the playbook for applying the method of Growth Hacking to your specific business. I think the format makes the book easily digestible and I found the writing thorough and the information to be actionable.

Simply put, Hacking Growth is a must-read for any marketer, manager, owner, or entrepreneur who is trying to grow their business in today's ever-changing market.

5.0 de 5 estrelas The Faster You Learn, the Faster You Grow 26 de abril de 2017

What I liked most about Hacking Growth was that it gives business owners, managers, marketers-- anyone responsible for growing their own company-- a solid explanation and understanding of what is needed to attain rapid growth and then follows that up with a straightforward framework that can be immediately implemented in your company regardless of your industry.

The approach laid out in the book just makes sense-- it's backed by data, focuses on the customer, and can be quickly put into place. The main premise of Hacking Growth and probably my single greatest takeaway is that the companies that learn the fastest, grow the fastest. And the many, many examples in the book make it easy to see how companies take advantage of many small wins over time to build up a big advantage.

While I'm not from the tech industry, I truly feel like the authors did an excellent job of showing how this process can apply to businesses of all types, using examples of restaurants and grocery stores in addition to the big name tech companies.

I definitely think anyone responsible for results and business growth can benefit from reading this book.

5.0 de 5 estrelas New go-to business bible!!!! 12 de maio de 2017

If you are a business owner, manager, marketer, product manager or salesperson within a business, this book will become your new go-to business bible. Hacking Growth reads like the blueprint for business growth but one that actually makes sense in today's market. Let's be honest - the business landscape has really changed in the last 10 years or so, and Hacking Growth not only makes sense of that but also shows business leaders of all stripes how to organize, prioritize and test the most promising opportunities to grow, no matter where they might exist.

For example, in typical businesses the marketing and sales departments are responsible for growth, but Brown and Ellis show how that way of working is now outdated. Many of the examples show how growth comes from things such as better customer retention and better pricing, and how the best companies test their assumptions continually to find what works best.

The best part about this book is that it's actionable now, but the processes don't have a shelf life, they just make good business sense. I think any leader can read it and put it into practice, and it will be a manageable guide for their team, too. Definitely recommend!

5.0 de 5 estrelas New classic...right up there with Lean Startup and Hard Thing About Hard Things 2 de junho de 2017
Por Ryan Deiss - Publicada na Amazon.com

This is one of the best marketing books I've ever read, and I write marketing books so I like to think that's saying something.

My fear when I purchased the book is that the first half would be all preaching to choir on the need for growth hackers and the impact it's made, but thankfully they got through that very, very quickly. I understand that a some of this is necessary just to set the context, but far too often "category-defining" books like this waste too much time on rah-rah and never get to the execution. Thankfully, this book was almost all execution...

I love that it gets straight into meaningful specifics about how to structure a team and how to test your offer to make sure it's worth of growth, and then it dives into specific tactics. It will be interesting to see how this book ages and how frequently the authors need to write updates and new additions, but for now, I don't think there's a more relevant book you can read if your goal is growth.

5.0 de 5 estrelas the de-facto book for growth hackers 23 de maio de 2017

I have followed Sean's career for many years and think this is a first-rate book for modern product development. It might replace The Lean Startup as the book I suggest when asked. I feel the biggest strength is that it provides a framework that can used from a one-person startup to a large company. The writing style is easy, accessible and straightforward.

However, it's strength it also a bit its weakness. I feel most of these topics could be gone into much more depth (although that is somewhat of a given for a topic like this). growthhackers.com seems like a great resource for more information and one that I hadn't used much before the book.
