O Clichê "Casamento relâmpago em Vegas" pode até estar batido, mas ainda é divertido porque pode gerar muitas confusões. O problema maior do livro foi o tempo cronológico das ações. Tudo acontece em 6 dias!!! Francamente, não tem como se convencer de um amor tãoooo avassalador de duas pessoas que se conhecem em um período absurdamente mínimo como esse. Pra mim não colou e essa problemática aliada a algumas outras falhas da trama não me agradaram.

Eu gostei bastante desse livro! Ele não é perfeito e nem muito profundo, mas a história, sem dúvida, me prendeu bastante. Li rapidinho.
É leve, agradável e bem escrito. Uma ótima leitura!
Eu adoro essa atmosfera de banda de rock! O livro já me ganha pelo enredo.
Esse é o primeiro livro da série sobre a banda de rock fictícia Stage Dive.
Ele tem como protagonista o guitarrista da banda, David Ferris. Ele tem os seus defeitos, mas acabou me conquistando no decorrer da trama.
Evelyn é a protagonista, que fica famosa do dia para a noite, após se casar com o guitarrista.
Eu gostei porque achei a história diferente. O livro já começa com eles casados e, aos poucos, vai sendo contado como isso aconteceu.
Os outros integrantes da banda também aparecem, mas o baterista Mal é o que mais se destaca. Ele é muito divertido e me ganhou facilmente. Acaba roubando a cena em algumas partes. Fiquei apaixonada e já quero ler o livro dele.
Senti falta de um epílogo, mas como o livro faz parte de uma série, que ainda vai contar as histórias dos outros integrantes da banda, acho que não faria muito sentido mesmo ter um, já que poderia acabar atrapalhando o enredo dos demais livros.

Essa Série Stage Dive é a minha segunda série favorita da vida amo demais. Amei Lick é aquela ardente história de amor de um roqueiro, aquele clichê que amo e aquela história cheia de diversão e confusão também...rs com aquela pitadinha hot de não botar defeito nenhum. Super recomendo a conhecerem esses Roqueiros e escolherem qual vai ser o seu preferido eu já tenho o meu.😁😜

Mas que passeio selvagem! Este livro realmente começa com um estrondo e só vai aumentando.
Evelyn acorda em um quarto de hotel completamente de ressaca e sem nenhuma lembrando do que houve na noite anterior.
Ela dormiu no chão do banheiro quando seus olhos se depara em um cara quente. Ela não tem ideia de quem ele é ou o que, se possível, ela fez com ele. Quando ela olha para a mão esquerda, ela vê um enorme monstro em forma de anel de casamento.

"— Algo piscou para mim da minha mão esquerda, prendendo minha atenção. Um anel, mas não é qualquer anel. Um anel incrível, um estupendo.
— P*** m**** — eu sussurrei. "

E é assim que toda a loucura começa.
Evelyn sempre teve uma vida muito protegida e normal pela maioria dos padrões. Ela é a criança boazinha, enquanto o irmãos é a criança rebelde. Ela toma as decisões certas. Ela tem um plano arquitetado e um futuro certo pela frente. Um fim de semana em Las Vegas poderia jogar tudo isso pela janela.
David Ferris é o guitarrista de uma das bandas de rock mais quentes da América. Sua vida tem sido uma agitação só e ele viu algo em Evelyn que o atraiu para ela. Ela era uma mulher corajosa que se levantou por uma garçonete qualquer. Eles passaram uma noite mágica juntos, da qual Evelyn não tem absolutamente nenhuma lembrança.
Evelyn não tem ideia do que ela fez ou como pular desse barco furado. David se encontra em uma situação onde ele é casado com uma mulher que não se lembra de nada e agora ela quer sair dessa.

"O amor nem sempre é suave ou simples. Ele pode ser confuso e doloroso — disse ele. — Não significa que não é ainda a coisa mais incrível que pode acontecer com você. Não significa que eu não sou louco por você."

David é a estrela de rock mais incrível, doce, possessivo que você poderia encontrar. E Evelyn é a garota normal que curte música country, e que não tinha ideia de que o mundo de David Ferris era. São duas pessoas em completo mundo diferente. Juntos, eles têm que descobrir o que eles estão destinados a ser e se estão destinados a ficarem juntos.
Apreciei muito a leitura e os personagens pareciam reais com seus problemas e pensamentos. A química de Ev e Dave é notória, e o jeito que eles lidam coma situação em sua volta foi marcante. Eu gostei do Dave, mas confesso que a personalidade do Mal me atraiu mais.
Ansiosa para conferir o livro dele. Pra os leitores que gostam de ver uma estrela de rock sexy em ação este livro é um prato cheio. Tem cenas quentes, muito drama, homens de tirar o fôlego, e bons diálogos - salvo alguns momentos de ataques infantis. Aconselho a lerem a série e conheçam o mundo das estrelas de rock da Stage Dive.

Story rating:
Lick is an addictive blend of heart-warming passion and light-harted fun. It's a story you can lose yourself in. The perfect rock star romance!
This book had one of the all-time best beginnings ever. I challenge anyone to try and stop reading after the first page! definite 5+ star story!!!

What happens in Vegas? This book got me hooked from the offset. Evelyn wakes up on a bathroom floor with no recollection of the night before only to find a gorgeous, inked man and a massive diamond ring on her finger. At this point I felt bad for him because it was obvious that he remembered what happened while she has no clue. Now came the choice of divorce or stay married.

After being hounded by the press, she must step into the world of her husband and finds that she’s not really wanted or accepted by many, even David who didn’t seem all too pleased she was there. She managed to take it all in her stride however, and when the spark between her and David began to show, they grabbed it and tried to make it work. The chemistry between them was apparent and helped make the fact that they were together seem right.

I love how the story focused on the two main characters rather than the ‘rock-star’ world, making it a more personal read as the issues faced are found in many relationship. We get to see how they reacted to each situation that was thrown at them and deal with it in a believable way rather than it being farfetched and over the top. There were instances of heartbreak and these weren’t resolved immediately and I liked that they had to work to repair their relationship, rather than a simple fix that you see in so many books.

This book is so well paced and flows beautifully that it enables you to connect and fall in love with the characters and the story, while allowing us to see the foundations that their relationship was built upon. A blend of heartbreak, laughter and hotness that shows us what happens in Vegas, doesn’t always stay in Vegas. Although the first in the series it can be read as a standalone but I REALLY can’t wait for Mal’s story.

I really enjoyed this book. What a shock waking up finding out your married. Only in Vegas!

Yep Evelyn could have handled things differently, but if you wake up without any recollection Of how the evening went then I guess shock, embarrassment and disbelief would be big on the list of feelings.

I thought David came across as a thoughtful caring person, until he realised she really didn't know that they had married! He had every right to be angry and walk away.

Mmm the party in LA, crazy mad but fair play to Ev she held get head high and sort if got on with it. Getting jealous, yep justified!

Loved Mal, he was friendly, and helpful, I am glad she had a friend whilst in this wierd situation, glad they started to get to know each other better, things were slowly working out!

They both hurt each other badly and when she walked I honestly thought that was it! So glad he was relentless in his persuit of keeping his marriage together, but you totally understood her reluctance.

He made me proud when he stood by her at her parents, and so did her brother, hoping that the road stays fairly smooth.

Really good enjoyable story with a good mixture of love. sex and twists to keep me reading till the crack of dawn.
When you cant go to sleep because you need to read another chapter and its 2 am you know its a good book for you!!!
At the end i got worried it was going to turn out badly but he never gave up on her and that was so lovely as men are not like that now days
usually.
I have ordered the next 3 of this series.
This book went straight into being gripping from the start and it was an unusual one which i liked because some books can be a bit samey.
This got my attention and i would definetly recommend its a sweet story of rock star meets ordinary girl who grounds him and makes his like real.

A fantastic rock star romance. What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right??? Wrong!

When you accidentally get married to one of the biggest rock stars on the planet, the ring, the paparazzi, the legal papers and the hubby himself are all still there, even after you leave Vegas... even if you have absolutely no recollection of the whole thing!

Good, respectable, sensible, Portland girl, Evelyn Thomas might have been planning on getting laid, on her 21st birthday, in Vegas... but she certainly hadn't planned on getting married. When she wakes up, hanging like a bitch, on a hotel bathroom floor, with no memory of marrying the gorgeous but mysterious man lying next to her, who is none other than David Ferris, guitarist of rock band, `Stage Dive', the obvious answer to her problems is an annulment. A no-brainer, right?

But what if he does remember the whole thing? And what if he doesn't consider it to be the biggest mistake of his life?
And what if Evelyn actually realises she might quite like the sexy, dark, brooding God of rock?

David. David. David! *sigh* Awww, he's just to die for.

He isn't the mean, bad-boy man-whore that most of these rock star romance books deliver us... he's just lovely. He's attentive, sweet, caring, kind and he's hurt. It's clear, from the beginning, that David remembers the events of that fateful night and doesn't regret it like Evelyn does.
Can anybody say `awwww'?? How can you not want to scoop him up and cuddle him? He wants her to be his wifey and she has no interest in even knowing who he is. Bless his little heart.

Evelyn is brilliant too. She's ordinary and refreshingly rational. It makes a change. She doesn't go flying off of the handle, over-reacting or falling at his feet at the first sign of `sorry'. She's just a normal girl in a very abnormal situation. And she reacts accordingly. She's strong in her decisions, has self respect but isn't annoyingly stubborn or affected. I really, really liked her and was totally on board with her story.

The story is told from her POV and the writing is witty, funny and a breath of fresh air. I was giggling by the end of the first page. This is pure easy-reading.
I loved that the dialogue felt so real. The responses were things that real people might say. They `Mmm's and `yeh's that were used to punctuate a sentence. There was a lot of great banter, too.

So, post-Vegas, when Evelyn finds herself at David's mansion, in an attempt to escape the hoards of press outside her Portland home, things begin to change.
I loved watching Evelyn realise that she actually had feelings for David. And he sure as hell didn't make it a hard job to love him. Honestly, ladies, this guy is so damn cute. He'll do a total warm and fuzzy number on your hearts.

Don't be fooled though. There are some panty-combusting sex scenes in this book too... just to make sure you don't get a sugar rush from all of the sweet. Ooof, David is haaawt! Evelyn is inexperienced and nervous, and he takes such good care of her, whilst showing her the ropes! Mmmm mmm!

I have one query... I'd be grateful if somebody could fill me in here... whyyyy is this book called Lick??? It just seemed ever so random, to me.

This book is the first in the Stage Dive series. I believe book #2 is Mal's story. Mal is David's oldest friend and the drummer of the band. I absolutely loved his character. He is hilariously funny, kind hearted and a total lad.

I can't wait to read more from Kylie Scott. I think we may have found a new favourite fictional rock band, ladies!
