Installed on a shower door in place of the factory guard and on the bottom of a few doors in the house. It is peeling off all of the above. The shower door lasted about 3 days and the doors less that 24 hrs. It’s a good size and had good flexibility, it just didn’t stick well at all.
Product was easy enough to apply. I used it at the bottom of the door to cover the huge gap. During winter cold air was just flowing in. However after applying for a month or two, the adhesive is already failing and it's peeling off. I'm going to assume it's because door open/close scrapes the bottom of the rubber against the carpet and slowly loosens the adhesion. Need to find better solution
My doors have an oil based paint on them. This tape did stay on the doors for very long, it started coming off pretty much the second week. I am not sure if it is because of the oil based paint or why it did not stick. The doors were not dirty and did not have any thing on them that would prevent the tape from staying put.
Took the time to put it on my basement door that has a draft, within 3 days half the strip was peeling off and not sticking, even without ever opening the door. Tried it on the front door and the same thing happened. Bummer because when it was on it worked really well.
This was easy to install, but only lasted a day. The adhesive is absolutely terrible. I washed and dried the surface and did everything I was supposed to do before installing, but it still fell right off. I never write reviews but feel this was a terrible waste of money.
Adhesive is not strong enough to hold for more than 4 hours. The strip is stretchy and makes the application difficult because if you stretch it the weak adhesive will fight to hold on to the stretch. Also even when the strip is mounted with out rubbing on carpet, the strip itself still does not hold to the door. I have wiped the door with 70% alcohol several times.
Within days of installing on shower door, it just fell off. I cleaned the area again and yet it falls off. I tried this on bottom of storm door interior side and that lasted only a day before falling off.
