***Author's Debut Novel***

WARNING: The following story contains mature themes, strong language, and sexual situations. It is intended for readers 18+ older.

She’s scarred by her past.

ANDREA EVANS is traumatized and guilt-ridden by the death of her fiancée. Tired of the gossiping small town, she travels to New York City to pursue her dream of dance.

He’s uncertain of his future.

COOPER DAVIDSON is a famous photographer and reality television star trying to flee from his own life filled with paparazzi, mental health clinics, and a cheating wife who is pregnant.

When Andrea and Cooper’s paths cross, they realize how damaged and in need of escapism they both are. The two create an arrangement to explore the space in between chaos and order with one another. The rules are simple—no emotional connections, no talking about the past, no speaking of the future, and when one finds order, the other walks away.

All is well until Cooper accidentally falls in love with Andrea.

Sobre o Autor

Brittainy Cherry has been in love with words since the day she took her first breath. She graduated from Carroll University with a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts and a minor in Creative Writing. She loves to take part in writing screenplays, acting, and dancing--poorly of course. Coffee, chai tea, and wine are three things that she thinks every person should partake in! Brittainy lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with her family. When she's not running a million errands and crafting stories, she's probably playing with her adorable pets.

5.0 de 5 estrelas A New Go To Author for Me! 23 de junho de 2014

This is my second Brittainy Cherry book and I absolutely loved it! The main characters in her books are both struggling with problems and end up helping each other out along the way. The Space in Between introduces us to Andrea who is living with a broken heart and Cooper, who's heart just got ripped out and handed to him by his wife.

We start off learning about Andrea and her tragic past. She lives in a small town where everybody is all up in your business, so she can't ever seem to move on from the accident that claimed her fiancee. Deciding she has had enough, Andrea heads to New York and start over. She moves in with her friend Ladasha, who immediately finds her a job. Andrea is a dancer so while desperate, in New York for the first time, she finds a pretty stereotypical job for a hot gal that can dance. She is away from home, but is still having a hard time getting over her fiancee, wondering if she will ever be able to live a somewhat normal life.

Some what normal isn't anything Cooper Davidson knows anymore. He is a small town boy with a big talent, one that landed him in New York and made him rich and famous. Cooper and his wife star on a reality show due to their combined talents, however behind the scenes is a different story altogether. Cooper's wife drops the bomb that she is pregnant by another man and sends him off of the rails.

So the small town boy bumps into the small town girl in this monster of a city and we start the crazy train from here. Cooper is fascinated with Andrea, however can see how broken she is. Andrea thinks Cooper is hot, but he hides the crazy a bit better than her. They both know they want each other, but also know there is a truck load of emotional baggage on either side to consider, so they become the space in between order and chaos for each other. Which I loved by the way.

Cooper and Andrea set some ground rules for what they are doing, including an emotional safe word, but the game changes when he falls in love with her. Knowing this is what he wants, Cooper treads lightly to help Andrea move on from her past. A trip home does nothing for the couple, however makes things more interesting for Ladasha. On the outside Cooper seems to have it together as compared to Andrea, however he is hiding things from her, things that are going to be deal breakers in the end.

The book is well written and flows nicely. I noticed in her writing, Brittiany Daniels fleshes out all of her peripheral characters, so you are even wondering what is going to happen with Andrea's brother when this all comes to an end. With the characters so involved, the story never gets boring and besides the POV chapters, I love that in a book.

5.0 de 5 estrelas Fantastic debut novel!! 11 de agosto de 2013

I can only hope I will do this beautifully written story justice with my review....

From the first few pages I was instantly entranced with this authors writing style. The words flowed so freely and I was immediately drawn into the story.

Andie Evans is broken. And when I say broken, I mean cannot be put back together broken. After losing her fiancé, she's moved to New York with a friend to escape her small town and all of the pitying looks. Sorrow is eating her alive.

Cooper Davidson is broken as well. But his is of a different kind. He recently found out his wife is a cheating pregnant whore! (Sorry, I had to say it!) What better reason to have a mental breakdown in front an entire nation right?! The famous photographer is now trying to move on, but his "wife" has different plans for him.

What happens when these two broken people cross paths?

First of all let me just say, I normally go for the jealous, possessive, bad ass attitude type of heroes. Cooper is not that hero, and I STILL fell head over heels for him!! The understanding he gave to Andie as she worked through her issues was so admirable. Not to mention their awkward situation upon meeting, he never once judged her! It may have helped that they actually knew each other, but throughout the entire book, he made us well aware of his protectiveness. Oh, and there was still some jealousy going on ;)

I absolutely adored Andie and how she placed "rules" on their friendship/relationship. I will never hear the word "soda pop" again and not think of this book! The other thing I can say about Andie, is that I truly felt her pain and was so happy when she was able to overcome her past. I loved her bestie Ladasha!!! Not only did she add comedy to the story with her witty banter, but she also had a story of her own.

The title to this book is so deep and truly meaningful. As I was reading the part of the book that explains it (the title), I was thinking Wow!.....I never thought of it that way. And this only reaffirmed my first thought when I started the book. That this author has TRUE talent!

Towards the end there are MANY secrets revealed that will leave you speechless!! Just when you think you've figured it out, you hit that upside down loop on the roller coaster. It was like watching all my favorite dramas rolled into one!
So my advice is...just throw your hands in the air and enjoy the thrilling ride!

Brittainy Cherry has this gift to write stories and every time I read one of her books I remember why I love to read! Told in dual POV. Cooper and Andie are broken and find how to mend each other the best they can. I loved the supporting characters and the stories for them. I would of liked more towards the end and a longer epilogue it felt rushed towards the end.

2.0 de 5 estrelas I loved the element series by Brittainy Cherry 5 de junho de 2017

I loved the element series by Brittainy Cherry. This book was poorly written, I'm guessing it was an early novel without editing. So many grammatical errors and the story had way too much happening in it. I really almost quit reading, because it was so distracting, but I don't like not having an ending, so I stuck it out to the end. There were also a lot of parts that seemed really immature or childish, rather than speaking about adults. With some editing this could be a great story.
4.0 de 5 estrelas and so I found this book beautiful and touching 17 de agosto de 2014

For a long time I've been fascinated by the ability of self and mutual healing through relationships (friendships, romantic relationships, etc.), and so I found this book beautiful and touching. I started reading it late one night, which was a mistake, because I couldn't even put it down to go to sleep, never mind how tired I was.
This book would have received a 5 star criticism from me, if it weren't for the big dance and all the build-up scenes towards it (I won't expand as to not spoil anything). Everything about this book was so beautifully mature and well-thought, and suddenly those moments felt very junior and cliche. I assume it was the author's paying homage to books the likes of Pride and Prejudice, but it felt slightly contrived and brought the characters down to a tweeny place, which did not fit with anything that was shown of their personalities or the cadence of the book so far.
Other than that, this book is lovely. The characters are well-rounded and even the worst person has thoughts and motives that you can't help but understand, even if you don't condone.
I don't want to go on and on, I will just finish by saying that some quotes from the book have just stuck with me since I finished reading it some two weeks ago (like "No one stays broken forever, not even you"). They were so touching, so true, and I felt them heal myself quite as much as they did the characters in the book. This stunned me, as I don't come to expect such lovely and inspiring writing in this genre of book. Amazing surprise.
Definitely would give this book a buy :)
