Descrição do produto
"Springsteen on Broadway" is the new album of music and stories by Bruce Springsteen, and the soundtrack to the Netflix film of the same name. The album is the complete live performance of the show, and available physically as a 2 CD set, or on vinyl as a 4 LP set, as well as digitally. "Springsteen on Broadway" is the solo acoustic performance written and performed by Tony Award, Academy Award, and 20-time Grammy Award winner Bruce Springsteen. Based on his worldwide best-selling autobiography 'Born to Run,' "Springsteen on Broadway" is a unique evening with Bruce, his guitar, a piano, and his very personal stories. In addition, the show features a special appearance by Patti Scialfa. Bruce Springsteen's historic sold-out series of performances of his one man show began previews on October 3, 2017 and officially opened October 12, 2017. The show was extended three times after its initial eight-week run, and ran on Broadway at The Walter Kerr Theatre through December 15, 2018, bringing the total number of performances to 236.

Very un-boss like his language is atrocious! Whilst listening I was thinking 'hopefully he's only swearing at this bit.' But no, he does it throughout, I had to turn it off. So unnecessary, I'm very disappointed I returned it the following day. It makes me ask what happened to parental guidance warnings?
The packaging is way too thin and delicate, being barely cardboard and it will be difficult to get the discs out without ripping the corner. I have not yet attempted to get the booklet out. I advise keeping the discs in third party paper sleeves / packaging.
First the packaging. I readily admit to swearing (in private) at packaging. This was an absolute doddle. No trouble at all and no damage
Second, the swearing. Mmm - this is rock n roll in the 21st century. It’s real (in the sense of not done for effect or to shock). It is how many people converse now.
But most importantly this is a brilliant “ one man show” (Mrs S features on a couple of tracks but that’s all). Springsteen interlaces some fine playing and singing with a narrative which is honest, moving, funny and self deprecating. It is a powerful combination and produces a magnificent show. I just wish I could have seen the live version.
A definite 5 stars from me.
There's no arguing on the set lists and this venue is certainly better than the stadium shows that he thrives on. The songs here have been with us many years and they are career defining and it's good to hear them in a stripped down unplugged way - now available on Netflix. I reckon 50% of this record is taken up with Bruce talking, which would be fine but at times he over does it and he's a great storyteller in song but not sure this verbal format suits needs to be so prevalent on these discs.
