"Sudoku Seventeen", available as an e-book and print book, explains how to solve these puzzles and goes on to supply over 200 Sudoku-17 puzzles varying from moderately difficult to extremely difficult. By way of comparison, the puzzle which was once known as the "World's most difficult Sudoku puzzle" is given, with some hints as to how it can be solved. The solution is also supplied for those who find the puzzle only too challenging! The book follows on from the author's earlier work "World of Sudoku" which is also available as an e-book and print book, and which is an instruction guide for the solution of Sudoku and Sudoku-related puzzles.
The Author, Dr. John Austin, has over 30 years' scientific research experience on the upper atmosphere and has published almost 100 scientific papers. He has also been involved in the writing of numerous international reports for the World Meteorological Organisation and The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, for which the IPCC received the Nobel peace prize in 2007. In recent years, John has broadened his work into popular science, and in 2014 he created an internet scientific publishing business Enigma Scientific Publications, http://www.enigmascientific.com. His first popular science book was "Measuring the World", which makes a plea for everyone to abandon old, impractical units feet and inches, stones and pounds etc. in our every day lives. Sudoku is of course based on logic and mathematics, which have been the supporting structure of John's work throughout his career.
When not working, John enjoys a variety of activities including chess, running, photography and travel. He has become addicted to Sudoku, which has stimulated the writing of this book!
