Descrições do Produto

Descrição do produto

From the USA TODAY Bestselling author of Scoring Wilder, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

I despise Erik Winter.

He’s arrogant and cruel—a man I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy—and by some twisted turn of fate, he’s my new Olympic gymnastics coach.

I’ve had to contend with gruff coaches in the past, but Erik is far worse. His stern demeanor complements a body built for intimidation, and his reprimands come from a mouth so cunning, I know it could strip me of my defenses—if I let it.

Though each of us would love to be rid of the other forever, we are bound to each other by need and necessity. I’m his rising star, his best shot at proving himself to his critics. And without a coach, I have zero chance of winning gold in Rio.

The easiest way forward would be to wave a white flag and make peace with the man I’ll be sharing close quarters with for the foreseeable future, but he is intent on war.

Fine. By. Me.

If he pushes me, I’ll push back harder. If he wants to test me, to play with my head, I’ll show him just how many boundaries I’m willing to cross. Because I know it’s not a choice between winning or warring—not if you can have them both. At the end of it all, I plan on leaving Rio with gold around my neck and his icy heart in the palm of my hand.

Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

1.0 de 5 estrelas Simply a bad book. Sorry. 5 de agosto de 2016

Honestly. This book was so bad. I normally love this author and I was waiting for this one, just in time for Rio. But oh my god, nothing worked. The characters were just horrible, the story felt unfinished and unrealistic to extreme. I mean, come on. And then, the yoga threesom. Seriously? I felt like I was reading an sexual harassment scene.
I really hope that it was a one time flaunt and next book will be much, much better.

I know fictional romance is so supposed to have some hint of unbelievaibilty but this was ridiculously out of the realm of reality. In addition usually when I dislike a book it's usually only one of two characters I dislike however this time around both the H/h were awful. The heroine was absolutely the worst. She was an immature child that actually like a 13 year old but wanted the respect and to be treated like a women. Ever heard of the saying "reap what you sow".
I mean the scene on the sidewalk when she wanted "her" coach to walk away from the coaches meeting to spend the evening with her. Really grow up little girl, that would have caused a shit storm with the media and then her winning gold would be totally over shadowed. She throws tantrums like a toddler in their terrible 2s. That was the icing on the cake that made me walk away from finishing the story.
This is only the 2nd book I've read from this author, the first book Settling the Score was so much better that it influenced me read book 2 but now I regret the time I lost in this mindless story. I'd leave this behind if I were you.

2.0 de 5 estrelas This one was a miss for me! 6 de agosto de 2016

I loved this author's first two books but, i can tell you i was disappointed in this one. I love the theme with the Sport that is always been good. Damn but these characters is where it all went wrong. Brie was very annoying, desperate and needy. It is very off putting to say the least. Half the time I didn't know what was going on between these two. And the situations were like those of twelve year olds. Love? Don't make me laugh. The age gap wasn't handled good at all by the author. There was no chemistry but I could go on and on. Big disappointment for me. Very immature book!

1.0 de 5 estrelas Not an Inspiring Romance! 5 de agosto de 2016

This book left me with a slew of mixed emotions. I honestly cannot understand how the story could have had a happy ending. The guy was a grade A a-hole with the maturity of an angry teen, not that of a 29 year old man. This guy had zero respect for the girl and she didn't have any respect for herself for continuing to let herself be dragged back into his games. For me, the real clincher was the yoga studio setup. Why the heck was that in the book? For one, the guy knows how innocent the girl really is then he exposes her to that and tells her she is just a toy! You have got to be kidding me! At that point, the only reason I continued to read the story was my hope that the girl would become stronger and find herself a real man at The Games who would respect her and beat the crap out of her coach. She said it herself, the relationship was toxic. He was degrading and emotionally abusive to her then bam, his total 180 at the end almost gave me whiplash.

The first two books were so good. I cannot even count how many times I have reread them. This one though, sorry R. S. Grey, I am going to try and return it.
