<REVIEW>DEFY ME (Shatter Me #5)
💬: I’m shocked about the fact that we had so many twists and revelations still going on on this book, I thought RM was the last time, thought my heart was at peace. Apparently, nope. There’s still many more ways to break my heart and make me scream. lol
I can safely say that this book made me feel so many different things, I had tears in my eyes during tons of scenes and the I laughed when there was blood? That didn’t made any sense. But well, that’s what this book did to me. He made me feel and suffer along with the characters.
Juliette and Warner (I don’t feel like calling them Ella and Aaron because that just feels strange for me) were apart for 80% of the book, both being in pain and being tortured - in different ways but still. Both of them going through stuff, having to deal with people from their past and people they thought would never be in front of them again.
Kenji and Nazeera was a surprise for me because I didn’t like them together that much on RM but now I’m sold, and wish them to find happiness. Kenji is just gone for her and she is an amazing person, so beautiful and so smart (Kenji agrees with me). Also, she plays a keyhole in the solution of the rescue mission and she is so powerful!
Some scenes were a little underwhelming, unfortunately my most anticipated ones, but the rest was alright. I hate to say it but the book was insanely more interesting when warnette was apart (don’t kill me please). But that doesn’t mean I didn’t melt with their interactions at the end of the book and with the way everything turn it out great for them (at least for now hehe *sweats nervously*)
There was a LOT of information being dumped on us and many more theories rising from the ashes, which makes me nervous seeing as there is only one more book of this series (a part from the novella).
