Rose dreams of opening her own coffee shop, but a clause in her uncle's will may be a drag on her dreams. With all her money invested in the new business, she does not know what to do if her plans fail. And when all seemed lost, a handsome lawyer offers a scandalous agreement. But impossible to resist. Married to a stranger, Rose will gradually discover that Jack, her husband, is perhaps the biggest challenge she has ever faced. Serious, grump, controlled, without emotions. But handsome as hell. And Rose will embark on a mission: pulling a smile out of her husband, no matter what. As she prepares to open her new business, Rose will receive unexpected help, and between a few conversations, or a lack of them, many clashes and enough stubbornness on both sides, she will begin to miss something. Or someone. After all, with Jack appearing by surprise and showing caring, it will be impossible not to yearn to have him around. Even if everything is a big lie. Secrets, twists, lots of tension and a little drama are part of the narrative. As well as several moments of tenderness. Rose and Jack may have embarked on a failed relationship, but what they build over the months together is stronger than they expected. Or dreamed. Just like their famous homonyms, they faced a storm, but managed to survive by leaning on the same door. After all, facing adversity together is what makes two people really a couple. A great book, with a couple very well written, with a fluid narrative, without appealing to clichés. I was positively surprised.
Ella surely didn't disappointed! She gifted us with another amazing story. Jack and Rose are really meant to be. I could be here all day long saying all the things this book made me feel, but i want to highlight the way that the feelings were portrayed, it was so delicated and heartfulness, I loved it! The relationship progresses really well and I fell for Jack as much as Rose did, because the grumpy was for sure a sweetheart! Rose is a strong character and she fights for her dream, this captived me! The slow burn was perfect because we can see how they learn about each other, and understand they can lean on themselves, we also could see through the mask ,they were trying not so well, to hide behind. The fake marriage progressed as I expected, they fell for each other, while learnt about what they want, they also healed together. So, its a really must-read for romance lovers! Ella is an amazing writer and I'm excited to see more beautiful stories.
This book is just...wow! I loved every part of it. It's very well written, detailed to the point that isn't boring (or tiring), funny, dramatic, hot and SO addcting!! I couldn't put it down until the end. It's cute to see their love growing. I LOVED IT!!! Exceeded my expectations!
Super recomendo!
