I first heard about John Mayer whilst watching an old series of CSI recently on TV believe it or not, i wasn't well so just laying on the sofa watching TV & came across this. He was a guest act & sung one or two songs on the program & I was instantly hooked on him. I'd never heard of him if I'm honest so looked him up, turns out he is big in the US but nobody seems to know abt him over here in the UK, we're missing out in my opinion! The CSI prog I saw him in was from abt 10yrs ago so the songs he sung on said prog I found on this album & I can't stop playing it as amazing. I will certainly see if I can find more of his music.
This has to be my favourite album of his although I love them all. Each & every track of all his albums are my favourite. His guitar playing attracted me initially but I also like the lyrics. It’s refreshing to listen to music which is not overtly sexual or anti environment or about drugs.
I received this album in good time and it was packaged well, I thought the price was good value for money and well what can I say it’s John Mayers Continuum it’s one of my favourite albums, I caught on to John later on in life and I can not believe what I was missing.
This is probably his most consistent album. All songs are strong apart from the over indulgent Hendrix cover, but hey as fans know this boy can play.Quite why he has never had much of a profile in Britain is hard to fathom.Marketing I guess,or maybe just that he is not overly bothered when he is pretty popular in the States.Anyway GOOD album.
Heard this purely by accident from a TV program CSI. Ordered album with the particular song I'd heard 'Waiting on the Workd to Change' I was not disappointed rest of album is excellent. If you like music along the lines of James Bay, James Morrison then you'll like this.
