This is the third pattern from different suppliers I've used - well, four including testing out a mate's which cost five times as much with nil difference in quality. Great optics and greenfly on the macro appear to be as big as hamsters; the fish-eye is excellent, as is the wide. But be aware! Look at the rims of the lenses to see which are left-hand/reverse thread or you won't be able to do and undo the things! One more note of warning: if you're cutting your backside to bits sitting on the fence trying to decide which clone to get, beware of the cheapest ones out there, (the supplier's name escapes me, but they're under four quid) as they have the optics of a dirty milk-bottle bottom. I'd got two for giveaways and I'm saving one for a joke - they'd be more expensive to send back than what they cost in the first place. These CamKix ones are, however, little gems. You ain't going to get around the necessity of fiddling around getting the things on and off the phone, but that's just a fact of life, and the results speak for themselves. Highly recommended..
Best fun I've had all week. Nice quality, too, this has a nice precision feel to it. The instruction card is next to useless, though. You'd think they'd have mentioned that the macro lens was an Eskimo Nell (left hand thread)? Took me a while to figure out why I couldn't detach it from the wide angle lens! :-0
I bought this for the macro lens. Yes, it allows you to get much closer than with just your phone. The focus is adjusted by you moving towards or away from your subject, you might have to fight your phone focus for a bit and you will have to crop it because there are dark edges from the way the clip fits over the phone. Some of the reviews described it as some sort of photography revaltion, but I would say it's a handy thing to have in your pocket, well made, but not groundbreaking.
Awesome piece of kit for my phone. Lens are great and of good quality. Have taken some excellent pictures with the fish eye. The clip safely secures the lens to the phone unlike others i have tried. Would definitely recommend to anyway who wants to take cool pictures.
I use an iPhone 5. I bought it for the micro. This is perfect for taking pictures 2cm away from object. Make sure you look at the close and open arrows as they are important and often not noticed at first. Came with little black bag perfect for travel.
