Although familiar with some of W Wattles work it was enjoyable to read his articles.. the mustard seed particularly... I didnt feel additional chapters were needed though, they were good standing alone .....
I'm really happy with this collection. I love that it's in chronological order, and that it's so well proofread. (I found a couple of errors, can't remember where, but that's trivial.) The only part I find frustrating is that one of the stories has only the first three chapters, and now I want to know what happened next. Overall, I am finding this collection very helpful.
I was looking to read Wallace Wattles’ The Science of Being Well. While I was looking to just read his book, for the price point, it made sense to purchase this master collection of 84 of Wattles’ writings. And I am glad I did.
While I generally don’t write a book review without reading the whole book, with 84 individual works in this book, I have decided to make an exception for this book. So far, I have read The Science of Being Well and several of the other shorter articles. Based on what I have read so far, I am continuing to select and read the different works in the book.
Thanks to the publisher Tony Mase for assembling this collection of Wallace Wattles’ work. If you are interested in reading Wallace Wattles’ New Thought writings from the late 1800’s through the early 1900’s, then this is the book for you.
I love the author. These were written around 1910, so the language takes some thought at time. However the messages are powerful and beautiful, very much worth the effort. Personally, I love the language and it is so inspiring to know that 'New Thought' has been around for a very long while. I will add that I read a lot! The most powerful book I have read and re read is Wattles, "The Science of Success". Wattles writing is amazing, he was a forward thinker who stepped out of the comfort zone to explore radical and amazing new ideas of how to believe. His eloquent style and early 20th century language is an interesting bonus. Love his writing, his style, and most of all his message.
