I was so excited for Connor’s story, since single parent is one of my favorites tropes and I was so curious how he would react to being a surprise dad, and the story totally payed off. The story was full of funny scenes, heat, friendship, love and romance.
Connor is the third guy out of five in the Frisky Business, an ecofriendly line of adult toys business, to have his own story, now there’s only Caleb and Ever behind, by the way, where is Ever? Regarding Caleb, I’d love to read his story with Scarlett, but I don’t think it will come. I think Connor and Jessa story will be the last in the series.
Anyway, Jessa is the new and temporary nanny of Connor’s two months old baby girl, Marley. Temp because she will travel to Central America to work in a non-profit organization and I was so excited to learn what she would be doing there and how relevant her work was. It was truly inspiring. She is a sweet girl and apart her nanny job with Connor, she was a perfect woman for him. I love how supportive they were with each other dreams.
I was truly curious how Kendall would overcome Jessa work abroad and how she would overcome this twist and although I wish it had other ending, mind I say a little more dramatic, I was ok with how everything work out. What I really love? The epilogue! It was good to see the gang all together celebrating! This book was easily my favorite in the series.
The Stud Next Door is the 3rd book in @kendallryan1’s Frisky Business series. It can be read as a standalone or as part of the series. The other starring characters are mentioned but not in too much detail so you’ll be able to enjoy their relationship development if you’ve picked this one up first. This book is Connor’s story. He’s a ladies man turned single dad and is taking it all mostly in his stride apart from juggling his part in his adult toy business and childcare for his young daughter. Cue the beautiful new neighbour Jessa, a baby whisperer on first meeting and a girl in need of an inbetween jobs job. This is everything I’ve come to expect from the Frisky Business series and more. It’s steamy with tension building between the characters with their taboo relationship. Throughout, adding to the build up, is knowing that at some point Jessa will leave to take up her new job in Central America. This, like the others in the series, was a quick read with great leading characters and a cast of secondary characters who are loveable whether you’ve read there books or not. Definitely would recommend starting at the beginning with this series.
🧡𝕋ℍ𝔼 𝕊𝕋𝕌𝔻 ℕ𝔼𝕏𝕋 𝔻𝕆𝕆ℝ ℝ𝔼𝕍𝕀𝔼𝕎🧡 The latest instalment of Kendall Ryan’s Frisky Business series is a sweet, sexy single dad/nanny/neighbour story. It picks up from the end of the last book with Connor sharing custody of his baby daughter Marley. He’s trying his best but it’s almost time for him to return to work at the sex-toy shop and he needs help. Enter Jessa, the freckled, curly haired girl who moves in next door. She has big plans to move to Central America after the summer and thinks a little job as Marley’s nanny will be fun. Little does she know that both the baby and the daddy next door will steal her heart.❤️ It’s great to hang out with the Frisky Business gang again and I can see scope for one more instalment 🙏🏻 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
While The Stud Next Door is the third book in the Frisky Business series, it most definitely can stand alone. There was something so endearing and intriguing about this book and these characters!
Single Dad, Connor, is getting toward the end of his paternity leave and he's in need of a nanny so he can go back to work at Frisky Business, which he co-owns with three of his buddies. Little Marley is the light of his life and he wants to make sure the right person is taking care of her, but finding that person hasn't been easy. Could it be as easy as the girl who is moving in next door?
Jessa has moved into a short-term rental in the home of an elderly couple for the summer before she departs for mission work in South America. She's been looking forward to the trip for months and she feels like this change in scenery will do her good. When she meets Connor and Marley, she's immediately taken with the little girl and let's be honest, her Dad isn't bad either!
As Jessa becomes Marley's nanny on a short-term basis, she and Connor spend more and more time together, both trying to fight the feelings and chemistry building between them. With her leaving, does it make sense to even start something?
I was enthralled in this story from the get-go. Connor was such a great Dad and the way he balanced having a child with his work was great. I also really liked Jessa. She knew what she wanted in life and went after it. They were so good together and add in all their friends and you have the makings of a really entertaining story! I'm looking forward to whatever comes next for this crew!
I've been enjoying this series, but this one really go me. I love so many things about this story but if I say what they are, I'll be giving away too many spoilers. Let's just say it was hot (hello, Kendall Ryan book) and the character development is so good. And the interaction with their friend's (from book 1 and 2 and later 4) just adds dimension.
And the wee one. So precious. I love babies.
Strong characters, interesting and... interested (but reluctant to admit it). Nanny and the hot single dad.
This was a fun story to read. I read it cover to cover in 2 hours. That's saying something with the concentration issues I've been having since an accident 3 years ago.
Frisky Business is a great series. I hope you try it out.
